other downloads
wlalias 2.0beta2 has been released! You can now evict and import unmanaged members from or into your domain. I can’t test it myself, so please let me know how it goes!
Thanks for over 1,000 downloads! When I started this tool I originally designed and wrote it for myself. I never expected there to be a demand for this tool, so having this many downloads is phenomenal.
Be sure you’re running the latest stable release of wlalias, which is version 1.5 at this time.
Before you can use wlalias to manage your users and their aliases you need to know your Microsoft Account ID and password that can manage the domain you have set up through domains.live.com. The application will prompt you for this information after executing the command. Be sure to read all of the text wlalias will output
To add a new alias to a user on your Windows Live domain you need two additional pieces of information before you start.
Once you have this information available, you’ll need to open a command prompt and navigate to the directory where you extracted wlalias, then execute:
wlalias add [email protected] [email protected]
Listing aliases is pretty straight forward, you only need to have the Microsoft Account ID of the user you wish to look up. Once you have the information, it’s as simple as:
wlalias list [email protected]
